もしも宇宙の中に膨張を引きとめる物質の量が多ければ、いずれは膨張が止まり、宇宙は収縮を始めます。
ダークマターの正確な量はわかっていないので、私たちの宇宙が開いているか閉じているかはまだわかりません。

If there is a large amount of matter in the universe that retards the expansion, the expansion will eventually stop and the universe will begin to contract.
